Imagine a place where a bunch of business owners collaborate together to help local entrepreneurs build and expand there brand?
Well that is what the Glamour Room Pop up shop has started in Los Angeles.
The Glamour Room Pop up Shop was held last weekend at the Glamour Room Salon and Spa. There were a number of black owned businesses from clothing lines to catering services who participated in the event.
Precious Jackson, owner of the Glamour Room, has been running her business for the last seven years. She was inspired by her family to start her own business and spread the knowledge of entrepreneurship to her people.
“Growing up and seeing my father own three businesses inspired me to be an entrepreneur. I wanted to create a new lifestyle for me and my family”, said Jackson.
With the success of this Pop up shop, Jackson plans to host one every three months to help local black owned businesses gain more exposure.
The event was free for all ages which allowed people to experience quality services from a number of local businesses. Jackson wants to continue to inspire other Black people as she plans to build off this event.
“I want to be able to reach out to other women like myself. I want to be able to spread the word that it doesn’t matter if you are all by yourself. If you you have passion and desire, you can do it.”
