My SOUTHERN Brand is a food platform that caters to serve the city of Houston to highlight the food and culture. The creator, KeAndre’ Jordan, wanted to promote Black excellence as it has always been overshadowed and stolen by other cultures throughout the years. After an unsuccessful run in the corporate world, Jordan decided to bet on himself to start My SOUTHERN Brand. This choice has worked out in his favor. 

As a food blog in a big city, My SOUTHERN Brand targets the Black community because of the underrepresentation the people receive in such a huge market. Growing up in the south gave Jordan his huge appreciation for food so coming up with a platform to promote up and coming restaurants and chefs seemed like a no brainer. The food on his page will blow your mind which is what he is trying to do. There are many types of Black cuisine from Louisiana Creole, Soul Food, or Caribbean so when it’s time to find something to eat in Houston, Jordan will take care of you. From Neyows Creole Café to All Da Smoke BBQ, your options are very wide.

Being a young entrepreneur, Jordan preaches finding your passion. Focusing on your own goals and aspirations will guide you into the right direction. My SOUTHERN Brand is currently in the process of expanding the business in the near future. The Houston food scene is definitely going in the right direction, so make sure you tap in with the movement when you come visit!
